Zoo Trip

Last Saturday we took Vance to his first trip to the Zoo. At this age he really can't appreciate it as much as he will when he's older. He was very fussy, all day. He hasn't been in his stroller much and that was something he had to get used to. Before lunch, we had his car seat attached to the stroller but it seemed he wasn't comfortable in it. So when we went to the car at lunch time, we left the car seat there and tried just the stroller. It worked out so much better. He was able to relax and nap. He was still fussy most the time, but I think that's to be expected at a new place, especially the zoo. :) Chris carried him when he got fussy. It really helped. Vance is sure a Daddy's Boy.

Family

Sunday we went to Great Great Grandma Lu's house. We took a 5 Generation picture. Now that's something to be proud of!

Rolling Over

We can now roll over! YAY! Chris and I were laying with him in our bed the other morning. I layed him on his belly and he rolled over to his back. Here's a video...

A growing baby

We had a meeting with the Parents as Teachers lady on Monday. She said he is right along schedule for his age. He is 'talking' a lot right now. He is starting to hold things better. He is able to hold onto his rattle long enough that it actually makes noise. Though, I'm not sure he realizes he's the one making the noise.

Vance had his first cold. We took his to see the doctor last Tuesday. They said other than the stuffy nose, he was a healthy baby. The cold seemed like it lasted forever but he's over it now. For the most part, he was pretty good throughout his cold. He was definatly fussy at times. We got some infant Vicks for his chest and that worked really well. Just in case you want to know, Vance weighed 14.5 pounds last Monday. He's getting so big. :) My little baby is becoming my little boy.

For those of you that follow college basketball, you'll be happy to know that Vance got to watch the Final Four. Monday, he and Chris sat on the couch and watched the game. It was so cute because Vance appeared to be very into the TV at the time.

Akira is letting Vance become her 'brother'. She'll come over and sit next to him if he's on the couch and sometimes she even offers a kiss. But the funniest thing I've seen is when she's not willing to loose her place in our laps. She insists on sitting there, so we adjust where Vance sits. :)

You know, I realize, I'm not in very many of these pictures and videos. I am always the one behind the camera. I will try and get a few of Vance with his mommy soon. :)
