A much needed update

So much time has gone by! I haven't had a chance to get online and blog for a while. I'm down at the shop today and have full internet access. So here you go...

Vance's big Dr. appt was Jan. 28th. Dr. Brownfield was very happy with his health. He continues to gain weight. He weighed 10 lbs 3 oz. And that was last Monday! I can't wait to see how much he's gained by his 2 month appt. He had to have an ultrasound on Monday also. They were a bit worried about a possible hernia. Everything checked out to be fine. It was just a little bit of fluid build up. If you want to know the whole story, I"d be happy to tell it. But it's a bit personal to put on here, lol.

His sleep habits aren't getting any better. We though he was getting the hang of it. 2 nights in a row he slept almost 7 hours. But he's back to every 2 hours. I'm hoping he get's in a better schedule before I return back to work in March. Otherwise he's been a pretty good baby. We've been fighting colic. I have to watch VERY carefully what I eat. I'm on a meat and potatoes diet. And I can't have chocolate! It's killing me, lol. I love chocolate. But I guess it'll help me get back into shape.

We visited Great Great Grandma Lu last week. It was a very nice visit. Aunt Saretta got to give him some attention too. We hope to get a 5 generation picture soon. I do have a picture of Grandma Lu and Vance to share today. I have a few other pictures.

Vance got to "see" his first dog show live last weekend. He slept through the whole thing but it's nice to know the barking and other dog noises didn't bother him. I do have a funny story about our day at the dog show. Before we even went inside, I wanted to make sure he had a full belly and a clean diaper. Soooo, I sat in the back seat of the car and fed him. That went well. Chris and I were able to see quite a few dogs come and go from the civic arena. After feeding him, I had to arange myself in the back seat of the car to change his diaper. If any of you know what we drive, it's a 2 door Monte Carlo. The back seat is not very accomidating for this kind of thing. Just as I get his dirty diaper off, he poops. The angle I was sitting towards him, the poop shoots up my arm all over the sweather I was wearing. Chris and I couldn't do anything but laugh about it. Chris's comment was, " I guess we should put some shout wipes in the diaper bag". Luckily I was able to clean myself off before going inside. But that will be one diaper changing memory I won't be able to forget.

Anyways, here are the pictures I have...

Ha ha!! What a poop story! I remember a few myself...It's amazing how many dirty diapers are completely uneventful, and then there's always that time when we're dressed up and "squirt"!
The pictures are great, he's so lucky to have so many grandparents.
Love you all, Mom
