A full week of events

So much has happened in the last 2 weeks. I hope I can remember everything, lol. To start with, I returned to work last week. Mom was in town to help with the transition. Thank goodness! I am glad to be back to work. We had to make a few more additions to the shop, toy wise. Vance is going through a big development stage. He's needing lots of brain stimulation. Mom bought a swing and I purchased a jumper. He enjoys both. The swing allows me to work and not have to rock him to sleep. He LOVES the jumper. He's young for it, so I have to put the dog bed under it so he can reach the floor. But he really goes to town on jumping around.

This weekend we had one of the biggest scares of my life! Saturday morning, I woke up to the sounds of Vance in his crib. It didn't seam normal. He seemed kinda mumbled. I went to check on him and he had vomited all over himself and the bed. It was BLACK! I started screaming and Chris came running in. We got the puke cleaned off his face and left for the ER. Vance wasn't very responsive. I was very worried for him. After getting into a room at the hospital, it was a while before the Dr. came to talk to us. They wanted to get some blood from him. Well, they couldn't get an IV in his arm so they had to put it in his head. VERY SCARY! I had to leave the room. Chris had to help the nurses and hold Vance down. They finally got it in and had to glue it in place. The blood tests came back normal. So they got some fluids in him and sent us home. He slept most of the morning and seemed pretty happy when he woke up. He's been fine since.
Today he had his 2 month check up. We asked his Dr. about the blood in his vomit, and she thought that maybe he had a slight nose bleed and it drained into his stomach. Who knows! :)
His check up today went very well. He got his first set of shots. He cried for about 2 or 3 minutes. Now he seems alright. We'll keep him on Tylenol for the rest of the day. Chris took the afternoon off. The Dr. warned us he'd be fussy today because of the shots. He continues to gain weight. He now weighs 13 pounds. He's in the 90th percentile for his weight and head size. He's 23 inches long. That puts him in the 50-75% for his length.
